From November 1 to March 31, in mountainous areas (including La Rosière), vehicles must have either:
- 4 winter tires or 4 all-season tires with 3PMSF marking
OR - Snow chains/socks in the trunk.
All-season tires without 3PMSF are no longer sufficient as the only mandatory equipment.
If these requirements are not met in an affected area during the winter period, the driver risks a fixed fine (approximately €135) and complications in the event of an accident.

Ski insurance is a specific type of coverage. It is not mandatory but strongly recommended. In the event of an accident on the slopes, the skier is responsible for search, rescue, and medical repatriation costs.
You can take out either personal insurance or the insurance offered by our company. The latter is automatically offered when purchasing online or directly at the ticket office.
For day or holiday passes, it is available at a rate of €3.50 per day per person.
For season or annual passes, we offer Carré Neige at a price of €49 per year per person.
Getting to La Rosière
It’s very easy to get to La Rosière without a car!
- By train: The nearest station is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, accessible by TGV or TER from Paris, Lyon, Chambéry, Grenoble, or Valence.
- By shuttle or bus: From Bourg-Saint-Maurice, several bus lines run directly to La Rosière (bus S80 / Transdev). The journey takes around 30 to 60 minutes depending on the timetable.
In the resort: Once you arrive, free shuttles make it easy to get around between the different areas and slopes.
Tip: Booking your train and shuttle tickets in advance guarantees a comfortable and quick journey. You don’t need a car to enjoy your stay in La Rosière to the full!

- The nearest train station is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, accessible by TGV or TER from Paris, Lyon, Chambéry, Grenoble, or Valence.
- Eurostar Snow Direct: departing from London, Brussels, and Antwerp, this train takes you directly to Bourg-Saint-Maurice station without any changes.
- TravelSki: close your eyes on Friday evening and wake up in the Alps on Saturday morning for a weekend or week-long getaway, far from the capital. The Travelski Night Express runs every Friday evening from Paris Gare de Lyon, arriving on Saturday morning in Tarentaise (Moutiers, Aime, Bourg-Saint-Maurice). The return journey departs on Saturday evening from Bourg-Saint-Maurice, arriving in Paris on Sunday morning.
- On board SNCF TER trains: there are no luggage restrictions, as long as you are able to carry it yourself.
- SNCF TGV and TGV INOUI: maximum 2 pieces of luggage (70x90x50cm) + 1 piece of hand luggage (40x30x15cm). One pair of skis or one snowboard is allowed in a cover.
- Ouigo: The ticket includes 1 piece of cabin luggage (55x35x25cm) and 1 piece of hand luggage (40x30x15cm). You can purchase the baggage option (€5 if you purchase it in advance and €20 if you purchase it on site/additional baggage), and you can bring your skis or snowboard in a bag.
- Eurostar: 2 pieces of luggage + 1 piece of hand luggage are accepted. To bring your ski/snowboard equipment, you will need to go through Eurostar Snow.
- TravelSki Night Express: 2 pieces of luggage + 1 piece of hand luggage + your pair of skis or snowboard
Once you arrive at Bourg Saint Maurice station, it is easy to reach La Rosière.
Yes, dogs are allowed on the shuttles. A leash and a muzzle (depending on your dog's category) are mandatory.

There are no dog sledding activities in the resort itself. However, you can enjoy the experience in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, about 30 minutes from La Rosière, with TANAKA Camp.
Yes, it is possible to go paragliding in La Rosière, but only in summer.
The best viewpoint is at the top of the Fort. You can reach it on foot from La Rosière, or take the Roches Noires chairlift and then walk for 30 to 40 minutes along an easy, relatively flat path. If you are skiing, you can also catch a glimpse of the summit of Mont Blanc from the Petit Saint-Bernard pass.
No, dogs are not permitted on chairlifts for safety reasons, regardless of their size.
Yes, your dog can accompany you on hiking trails. It must be kept on a leash so as not to disturb other hikers and skiers.
There is no minimum age for using the chairlift. However, taking a 6-month-old baby up is strongly discouraged. Due to the rapid gain in altitude—and to protect your child’s ears—the recommended minimum age is 18 months.

In winter, access to Italy is possible only on skis. The Little St. Bernard Pass remains closed until the Ascension weekend.
Yes, all the mountain restaurants are accessible to pedestrians. Just be prepared for a bit of walking to reach them.

Yes, there are no longer systematic checks at the border. However, remember to carry your own identification documents as well as those of your children; mobile customs units may conduct random checks.
The "Galopins" club welcomes children aged 3 to 12 in both areas of the resort: La Rosière and Les Eucherts.
You can combine ski lessons with activities at the leisure club. Outdoor activities are offered during the half-day childcare sessions—either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the ski lesson schedule. Meals are included, and staff members handle the transfers between the ski lessons and the Galopins club. Children who are not taking ski lessons are also welcome to sign up for the leisure club.
Evolution 2’s "Winter Camp" also offers four afternoons of snow and mountain-based activities for children aged 3 and up. This can be combined with morning group ski lessons. By adding the "Yéti Gourmand" (Hungry Yeti) option, full-day care—from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.—is available.
The mountain pass generally closes at the end of the All Saints' Day holidays and reopens for the Ascension weekend, depending on snow conditions and the weather. You can find real-time information on Savoie Route.
Yes, the Genièvre sheep farm is located about 6 km away. To get there, take the "pink road" (*route rose*) and, after passing the hamlet of Le Châtelard, follow the sign pointing toward the sheep farm. If you reach the recycling center (*déchetterie*), you have gone a little too far.
Visits are self-guided, and you can sample and purchase local products on-site, including sheep’s milk cheese, fresh cheese, and yogurt. It is essential to call Stéphane, the shepherd, before your visit; he welcomes visitors by appointment. The best time to visit is late in the day, around milking time, as Stéphane works as a ski instructor during the day.

There is no market within the resort itself. However, you can purchase high-quality regional products in our many shops, run by passionate local proprietors! Nearby, the weekly market in Bourg-Saint-Maurice takes place on Saturday mornings.
