Guided walk: the Petit Saint Bernard Pass – a place full of history!
About
Join us for a tour that unveils the rich history of this transalpine mountain pass, located at an altitude of 2,188 metres and used as a crossing point for over three thousand years.
The many remains found here tell the story of those who once travelled through: the cromlech or Hannibal’s Circle, the Roman road (linking Rome to Vienne), the foundations of the mansio (a Roman rest stop), the Joux column, the Chanousia alpine garden, and the Hospice.
