Introduction to Trail Running

About

Try your hand at mountain trail running in La Rosière on a guided 15 km run with 600 metres of elevation gain. The programme includes techniques for ascents and descents, pacing, and exploring the most beautiful trails in the Haute Tarentaise.

This activity introduces you to mountain trail running in La Rosière through a guided outing specially designed for beginners who want to improve their skills in complete safety!
The route starts at Place des Eucherts, in front of the La Rosière guide office. After crossing the resort, you’ll take a fun descent to Le Gollet before following the magnificent Chemin des Myrtilles along the ridge. The route continues through the Vallon du Reclus to the Lacs des Gouillons, then heads to Le Plan du Repos before returning to Les Eucherts.
This introduction to trail running teaches you how to pace yourself in the mountains, adapt your stride to different terrains, and discover techniques for running both uphill and downhill. Participants will also receive practical advice on choosing and using trail running gear.

Practical information:

- Distance: 15 km
- Elevation gain: 600 m
- Group: 4 to 10 people
- This activity is aimed at people who already run approximately twice a week over a distance of around 10 km.

Essential kit:

- At least 1 litre of water
- Waterproof jacket (e.g. Gore-Tex)
- Trail running shoes with lugs
- Trail running belt or vest
- Snacks
