Randonnée Abeilles

The outing begins with an easy, downhill walk lasting no more than 1½ hours, focusing on flowers, nectar, pollen, propolis and pollination in general, before turning our attention to the bee. The second part involves opening a beehive, discovering how it works and looking for the queen. A full set of protective clothing is provided. This is followed by a discussion about honey (nutritional qualities, defects, advice), then a 15-minute return journey to catch the Les Hameaux shuttle bus (cost of the return journey: €3).

Please bring socks and closed-toe shoes; canvas shoes that are too thin are not permitted.

Price: €27 per adult, €17 per child, excluding the cost (€3) of the bus ride.

Booking is compulsory and must be made by 7.00 pm on Tuesday at the La Rosière Guides and Tour Leaders’ Office; meet in front of the office on Place des Eucherts.
