Harpsichordist, passionate continuist, Pierre Trocellier is Professor at the Jean-Philippe Rameau Conservatory, CMA6 Paris. Eclectic and curious, he recently presented at the Off Festival in Avignon “How beautiful is this sleeping night in my eyes” with the actor Christian Girault.
Cellist born in 1958, student of Jean Deplace, Pierre Strauch won the Rostropovitch Competition in La Rochelle in 1977. In 1978, he joined the Ensemble Intercontemporain. His solo repertoire includes works by Zoltàn Kodaly, Bernd Alois Zimmermann and Iannis Xenakis, among others. In Paris he created Time and Motion Study II by Brian Ferneyhough and Ritorno degli Snovidenia by Luciano Berio.
Sona Khochafian began playing the violin with the Russian teacher Mr. Michel Boricenko in Aleppo and won the 1st national prize for music performers at the age of 9. Obtains a 1st prize at the National Conservatory of Beirut. A scholarship holder from the Gulbenkian Foundation, she is a laureate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the class of Roland Charny.
