When the sun goes down, the West comes alive

From 8 to 11 April 2027, snowy peaks meet golden light and the spirit of White West.

In April, winter is still here, but the mountains change pace. The days grow longer, the light becomes softer and skiing takes on a springtime feel.

For four days, La Rosière steps into the world of the White West Festival. Horses in the snow, the Western Village, music, entertainment, skijoring and evenings at the Dance Hall turn this final major event of the season into a journey into the West.

One last great reason to click into your skis, enjoy the wide-open spaces and make winter last a few days longer.

Springtime on the slopes

In early April, La Rosière brings together everything that makes end-of-season skiing so enjoyable: snow on the slopes, longer days and milder temperatures.

In the morning, head up the mountain and enjoy the slopes of La Rosière in the spring sunshine. As the day goes on, the terraces come alive and the festival atmosphere gradually takes over.

That contrast is exactly what gives White West its character: ski in the mountains by day, then step into a completely different world in the late afternoon.

The Western Village comes alive

During the festival, head to Place des Eucherts, where the Western Village will be buzzing from morning until evening.

Around twenty exhibitors are planned, creating a lively meeting place inspired by the Western world.

Wander between the stalls, discover objects and craftsmanship inspired by the West, enjoy the entertainment and embrace the atmosphere. Cowboy hats, boots, raw materials and frontier spirit find an unexpected home among La Rosière’s snowy peaks.

And there’s no need to wait until evening: White West is an all-day experience.

The day continues at the Dance Hall

When the slopes close, don’t head home just yet.

The large Dance Hall marquee becomes the festive heart of White West, with concerts, country evenings and après-ski.

On Friday, the first country night gets the weekend started. On Saturday, the atmosphere steps up again with a grand country dance followed by a DJ until midnight.

You don’t need to know your line dancing or arrive in cowboy boots. It’s all about getting together, enjoying the music and carrying the day on into the evening.

Four days, four atmospheres

White West evolves throughout the weekend, with something different to discover each day.

Thursday — The West arrives
The Western Village opens its doors and the first activities officially kick off the festival.

Friday — Step into the White West world
The Western Village, line-dancing introductions, a riders’ parade, talks and screenings fill the day. A French premiere of Rescued Hearts is also planned, followed by the first big country evening.

Saturday — The big day at White West
Outfit competitions, skijoring demonstrations, horses, torches, music and light: Saturday brings together several of the festival’s highlights. The day ends with the grand country dance and a DJ set.

Sunday — One last glow
The festival begins at sunrise with a Sunrise Ride, before returning to the Western Village and its activities. A Western brunch and closing concert bring the four-day celebration to an end.

Make it your last ski trip of the winter

From 8 to 11 April 2027, make winter last a few days longer in La Rosière.

Spring sunshine is here, the days are getting longer and there’s still time to enjoy the slopes. The White West Festival is the perfect excuse for one last ski break before the season ends, while discovering a completely different side of La Rosière.

Come for the days on the slopes and stay for the horses, Western Village, concerts and evenings at the Dance Hall. For four days, spring skiing and the White West atmosphere take you from morning through to night.

Stay for a few days to make the most of the festival and those final moments of winter in the mountains.
