Friends from the valley and beyond, come and take part in the traditional festival of La Rosière on the theme of wood and clarinets. Savoyard music and Saint-Bernard dogs!
The Clarines festival features a parade of floats, folk groups, traditional Savoyard music and a host of other activities on the weekend of 3 and 4 August.
The Saint-Bernard dog, the animal symbol of La Rosière, will be celebrated and honoured this weekend.
These guardian and rescuer dogs have become an important part of the culture and heritage of La Rosière and the surrounding area, and our proximity to the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass, just a few kilometres away, confirms this status.
Located in Savoie, on the heights of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the Col du Petit Saint-Bernard marks the border between France and Italy.
