WALKING ROUTES IN LA ROSIÈRE

le chemin d’italie

Clearly marked pedestrian paths are available to be used for discovering the mountain and enjoying the panoramas from a different angle. Regardless of your physical fitness, start for example with the “Italy Path” (Le Chemin D’Italie). This path will take you, in about 20mins, to the arrival of the Ecudets ski lift. In front of you lies the valley of Bourg Saint Maurice and the Séez alpine meadows (with snow cover in winter). Or try out the pedestrian path which links Les Eucherts with La Rosière Center in 15 mins, where you can enjoy the benefits of the mountain, forest and snow. You will already feel like you’re in a completely different world.

Le bout de la route

You’re starting to acclimatise to the altitude? Try the one hour long “The end of the road” (Le bout de la route) trail in the snow where you’ll share the path with cross-country skiers and discover the view over the Moulins valley. And if you turn around, it’s the majestic Mont Pourri that you will be admiring.

A LITTLE HELPING HAND ?

You can, like the skiers or boarders, take certain ski lifts as a pedestrian (Roches Noires, Eucherts, Plan du Repos, Fort, Ecudets) You can therefore enjoy the panoramic views from the Roc Noir or even those from the Fort whilst trying out the Panoramic Experience! For this, you need to have a pedestrian lift pass, ask at the ski pass sales counter.

FEELING FIT ?

From the Eucherts area, head off for a return trip excursion of about 3 hours one-way, in the direction of the Roc Noir on the “Chemin Panoramic Mont Blanc 1 , 2, 3 et 4” (Mont Blanc Panoramic Path 1, 2, 3 and 4).
With a panorama that will take your breath away, you’ll discover the Mont Blanc, Col du Petit-Saint-Bernard, Italy and a magnificent view over the Tarentaise valley. Welcome to La Rosière, you’re in paradise…
