ambassadors: LA ROSIÈRE, LAND OF adventures
Arthur joyeux-Bouillon
Arthur was born in Grenoble (Isère) in 1994. Mountain sports have always been part of his life, and he enjoys downhill skiing, ski touring, climbing and mountain biking.
It was in 2013 that he fell in love with trail running after taking part in his first race. He has now moved on to ultra-distance and has already proved that he has the talent to take on the best in the sport. He finished 3rd in the TDS in 2021, 9th in the MIUT in Madeira in 2019, 9th in the CCC Mont Blanc in 2018 and 2nd in the ISTRIA 100 in 2023. He finished 7th in 2022 and 9th in 2023 in the legendary UTMB race! Arthur is a member of Team On running.
You’re sure to see him at the Trail de La Rosière on the 40km course, where he has won the last 4 editions and has the reference time of 4h20!
In 2020, Arthur took part in the ‘Défi Mont Blanc’ with Fabien Antolinos, which consisted of a round trip to the summit of Mont Blanc from La Rosière, taking in an eye-popping route. In total, the route was 92km long and included 6000m of D +/-, with a large part of the ascent at altitude. For the first time, they achieved this performance in 20:05!
“I run in the mountains because I like the feeling it gives me. It’s the biggest sports ground you can find. I feel free and I can go wherever I want. There are no limits!”
Noé Rogier
Originally from Montélimar, Noé moved with his family to Le Mousselard, a small hamlet 15 minutes from La Rosière, around ten years ago. He has been a competitive ski mountaineer for six years.
After proving himself in the French youth teams, he is now in the federal U23 group. In addition to his career as a young top-level athlete, Noé is a student in a specialised section in Annecy and a first-aid worker on the La Rosière ski area during the winter season. At just 21, Noé is the 2021 U20 SPRINT world champion, winner of the 2022 PIERRA MENTA JEUNE and three-time U18 French champion. A passionate skier, Noé has set his sights on taking part in the 2026 Winter Olympics in ski mountaineering. A member of the Sidas Matryx team, he also has some excellent results in trail running.
Marie Goncalves
At the age of 26, Marie is a top-level sportswoman as well as a student lawyer, no less!
Marie grew up in a sporting family, with her mother a trail runner. Naturally, she started athletics at the age of 7. She gradually specialised in middle-distance and cross-country running, and didn’t really start trail running until a little after the quarantine lockdown.
A member of the Asics Elite Team, Marie has racked up a string of results in recent years: runner-up in the 2022 French long-distance race, world champion in the 2023 trail run team and 28th in the individual race. She also won the 2021 and 2023 editions of the 22km Trail de La Rosière.
Marie is particularly attached to La Rosière, as it was here that she did her first trail runs in the mountains. We’re delighted to be able to count her amongst our athlete ambassadors and to have her come and train in our beautiful mountains from the summer of 2024.
“Believe in what you do, do what you believe in.”
Sophie lechasseur-gavaggio
Sophie Lechasseur, a passionate skier from Saint-Rivière du Loup in Quebec, has always had a smile on her face and an eye for the mountains. She started club skiing at the age of 5. Skiing became an escape for her, a way of winning, pushing her limits and feeling the thrill of speed. Sophie quickly showed an exceptional talent for skiing, recording some impressive times: she reached the top 15 in the national FIS rankings.
Her story then took her to Whistler, British Columbia, the kingdom of freeride. In 2014, Sophie arrived in France for a three-week stay that turned into a new life. She discovered couloirs, mountaineering, and was amazed by the accessibility of mountains just a few hours away. In the summer of 2016, she set down her bags in the Tarentaise and got involved in teaching skiing. She can now see the French peaks from her window, ready to hit the slopes with every snowfall, while introducing her two children to the joys of skiing.
In winter 2022-2023, Sophie joined the team of La Rosière ambassadors. This new adventure has strengthened her bond with the resort, where she loves to come to recharge her batteries and share her passion for nature with her family. Whether she’s teaching her daughters to ski or enjoying freeride escapades in the powder, La Rosière offers Sophie a versatile experience, perfectly suited to a mother with a passion for snow sports.
