The resort of La Rosière is built upon areas of alpine pasture dotted with high-altitude rustic chalets. The resort has been shaped by the commune’s inhabitants and local craftsmen, who all have a great attachment to the area. The inhabitants of Montvalezan dreamed of creating a resort that reflected the commune’s personality. Every piece of stone and every slate has a story to tell, and bears witness to the locals’ desire to pay homage to the natural beauty all around them. They have managed to imprint the heart and soul of the commune into every part of the resort, right up to the warm welcome that is extended to its guests.

Unlike in other resorts in the Haute Tarentaise, this careful development has enabled La Rosière to preserve its village atmosphere while seamlessly blending any new builds into the Alpine landscape.
