The circuit begins with the moderately easy switchbacks on the road to the Col du Petit-St-Bernard. It then traverses across the sunny side of the valley, opposite the resort of Les Arcs.
Highlights include the outstanding views of the glaciers of Mont Pourri and Bellecôte, and the unspoilt villages of Le Miroir and La Masure, which is a protected site.
