The Fort’s Treasure
This fun and historical trail invites you to step back in time and help a mysterious character recover his memories and hidden treasure. Armed with a game booklet, set off with family or friends to uncover the secrets of the resort, between Alpine landscapes and historic remains.
The story
An old man has lost his memory and can’t recall the code to his treasure chest. Along the route, memory boxes help you relive his past. Solve riddles to piece together his identity and recover the treasure. Each stage takes you through a different era, from 1909 to 1961, with anecdotes about La Rosière and its surroundings.
The trail
- Start: Top of the Roches Noires chairlift
- Duration: 2h30–3h
- Distance: 3.8 km (+205 m ascent)
- Equipment: Walking shoes, water, sun protection, pencil
Quick access: take the Roches Noires chairlift (Activ’été Card available at the Tourist Office).
Key stages
- 1961: A postcard and ski pass reveal his first name
- 1953: A wool jumper gives his wife’s name
- 1949: Quarry tools identify his best friend
- 1940: A military helmet and coded papers reveal his surname
- 1917: A retouched photo hides his date of birth
- 1909: A hammer and a crystal reveal his childhood village

At the end, use all the clues to unlock the chest. A reward awaits at the Tourist Office if you succeed!
