Photo exhibition in La Rosière: the wildlife of Montvalezan in images
Spotting an animal along a trail, at dawn or at the edge of a forest, is often a rare and special moment, whether you are enjoying a winter ski holiday or summer mountain vacations in the Alps.
To share these moments and invite visitors to see the mountains differently, the photo exhibition “The Wildlife of Montvalezan” offers a sensitive immersion into Alpine wildlife through photography.
An exhibition shaped by the photographers of Montvalezan
Created following a call for wildlife photographers from the municipality of Montvalezan, the exhibition brings together 22 photographs selected by Daniel Arpin Pont, Joël Gaidet and Thierry Vignes. Each image captures a unique moment: a fleeting encounter, a particular light, a scene of life frozen in time within the mountain landscapes around La Rosière.
As you move through the exhibition, the richness and diversity of Alpine fauna gradually unfold. Mammals, birds and emblematic species of the Alps are showcased with simplicity and authenticity.
Each photograph is accompanied by a “Did you know?” note, sharing an anecdote or an interesting fact about the species featured. This playful and accessible approach appeals to both children and adults, making the exhibition as informative as it is engaging.
A different way to discover the mountains
Open throughout winter and until summer 2026, the exhibition can be discovered at your own pace during your stay in La Rosière. It naturally complements the resort’s cultural offering, whether between ski days, mountain walks or quiet moments of contemplation.
This exhibition is an invitation to slow down, observe and reconnect with nature, discovering La Rosière from a more intimate perspective, close to its wildlife and to those who take the time to observe it.
