Mountain biking can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of their age, ability and fitness.
Two MTB schools hire out equipment (bikes and protective gear) and organise guided bike rides with qualified instructors.
A FEW BIKE RIDE IDEAS
Whether you are on a cross-country bike (XCountry) or electric mountain bike, you can explore the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass along trail No.8, which goes past the Fort de La Redoute Ruinée (accessible using the Roches Noires chairlift) or go on a ride around the commune’s hamlets and chapels on the village trail.
As a bonus, you get to drink in the views as you ride back up the mountain on Les Ecudets chairlift.
You could also go a bit further afield on the Moulins trail, or the more challenging Suée trail, where you will pedal past the high-altitude chalets in Putétruit, Plan Pigeux and Le Vaz
DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING (DH)
La Rosière’s Bike Zone can be accessed using the Roches Noires and Ecudets chairlifts (open every day except Saturday) and offers trails for different levels of rider, from beginner to expert.
Explore the high-altitude trails with their panoramic views and embark on an exciting descent through the magnificent Ecudets forest (1,200m downhill from Roches Noires)
