Reminder: Chemin Le Châtelard / Le Vaz is closed to pedestrians

As a reminder, a permanent municipal order from 2016, applicable every winter, prohibits pedestrian access to the path between Le Châtelard and Le Vaz. (See attached order.)
This measure aims to prevent risks related to snow accumulation and potential natural avalanches.

Given the significant snowfall of recent days and the high avalanche risk, we urge everyone to exercise extreme caution.

For any hike or outing in snowy areas, it is strongly recommended to use mountain professionals (guides, instructors), who can guarantee your safety and ensure a proper assessment of the conditions.
Thank you for your caution and for sharing this information.

Weather Conditions and Road Status

Weather conditions are currently significant.

Approximately 60 cm of snow has fallen in recent hours, accompanied by wind.

The road to Club Med is currently subject to a high avalanche risk. Snow clearing and milling operations cannot be carried out while natural snow slides remain possible.

At the entrance to the resort, roadside embankments are naturally releasing snow along the departmental road.

Teams are fully mobilised to secure and reopen access as soon as conditions allow.

Delays are to be expected.
