Snow conditions
Since December 7th, temperatures at 1,850 m have never dropped below 0°C. The last production of artificial snow dates back to the long cold period from November 19th to November 28th.
The Marmotte Pt-Bois slope has been closed since December 15th, as well as the Pt-Bois chairlift. The situation will not change until temperatures allow for snow production.
Since Saturday, December 20th, the Écudets chairlift has been operating as a gondola-style lift, along with the Rouvinette and Escargot slopes.
Following significant mechanical and manual snow grooming work, the Petit-Saint-Bernard Fun Area will be expanded with additional modules and routes.
As for the Family Park, we currently have no snow reserves allowing the opening of anything other than rails and boxes during the coming week. No snowfall is forecast, but colder temperatures may return after Christmas. If confirmed, and depending on wind conditions, this would allow us to produce artificial snow and further improve ski conditions across the area.
Our teams continue to work tirelessly and with great determination to restore snow coverage on the slopes.
A summer road has been opened between the Tétras slope and the G2 station of the Eucherts chairlift (formerly A43). This allows skiers to avoid the upper section of the Gélinotte slope.
Several alternative routes have been created to open certain sections of slopes. Do not hesitate to ask the ski patrol teams on the mountain for all relevant information.
We wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, with highly favorable conditions for a large part of the French and European ski ecosystem.
