La Rosière, certified Flocon Vert resort

A label that reflects La Rosière’s commitment to combining tourism with environmental responsibility, to protect the mountains today and for the future.

Our commitment to sustainable tourism

Since November 2023, La Rosière has been officially awarded the Flocon Vert label, a strong recognition for mountain destinations that put the environment at the heart of their development.

The Flocon Vert: a label for mountain lovers

Run by the Mountain Riders association, the Flocon Vert label certifies the sustainable commitment of resorts. It highlights concrete actions as well as a long-term global strategy addressing climate, social and environmental challenges. Choosing a Flocon Vert certified resort means supporting a more responsible and conscious type of tourism.

A collective effort

This certification is the result of joint efforts led by the Tourist Office, the Municipality of Montvalezan and La Rosière’s ski area. It rewards the daily commitment of the entire territory.

A clear roadmap for the ski area

La Rosière’s ski area has defined 16 eco-commitments regarding climate, water management, biodiversity and landscapes. It is aligned with the national objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2037. Discover the 16 eco-commitments of the La Rosière ski area here.

Replanting for tomorrow

The resort has committed to planting 1,500 trees over three years, in partnership with the ONF. Young plants, grown in Bourg-Saint-Maurice’s nursery, will help strengthen local ecosystems and fight erosion. Planting trees with the ONF.

Zero waste and green energy

The Tourist Office has adopted a zero-waste charter, with an internal policy to reduce waste and switch to 100% renewable energy. Another step towards more virtuous tourism.
