Earth Festival

Come, discover, taste and experience mountain farming in an exceptional setting!

The Fête de la Terre, a departmental festival highlighting the region's agricultural heritage and Savoy gastronomy, is a key event for the Young Farmers of Savoie.

The Tarentaise Young Farmers' Association is putting on a programme packed with events and discoveries:

Ball on Saturday evening

The Fête de la Terre is the most important event of the Young Farmers' Union. It is organised every year by a different canton, alternating between the plains and the mountains.

Following the success of past events and the rewarding contacts made with the public, the adventure continues: In 2024, this year, the Young Farmers of the Tarentaise canton are taking up the torch and joining forces to create the event.

The objectives:
- To create a link between the various players, i.e. to create or encourage dialogue with elected representatives and between farmers, locals and tourists.
- To change the image of agriculture. Today, agriculture no longer has the sole function of production, but is linked in a cross-cutting way to other major regional issues: the economy, the environment and the economy.
the economy, the environment, the landscape, food and energy. As a result, today's agriculture, which is essential to maintaining a local dynamic and the survival of a region, deserves special attention.
- Introduce visitors to the agricultural and gastronomic heritage of the Tarentaise area and the wider département by presenting the specific features and diversity of quality agriculture: the different sectors, production and processing techniques, products, etc.
products.
- Offer activities for the general public on a friendly day, such as demonstrations of shredding, herding dogs, etc.
