High-altitude concert : Pelouse

About

PELOUSE, the trio of Xavier Machault, Quentin Biardeau, and Martin Debisschop, returns with découdre — a poetic and electrifying mix of saxophone, synths, and rhythm. Between rock, electronic, and chanson, their live show is intense, subtle, and joyfully unclassifiable.

After an EP in 2017 and their first album Bowling in 2021, PELOUSE — the trio of Xavier Machault, Quentin Biardeau, and Martin Debisschop — presents their new creation: découdre.

This ten-track album dives into a more focused, raw yet delicate sound world where drum machines, feverish saxophone, synths, and deep bass lines meet sensitive lyrics — sometimes intimate, political, surreal, or poetic. The result is a unique musical conversation, somewhere between Dominique A and LCD Soundsystem, Brigitte Fontaine and Morphine.

On stage, PELOUSE masters the art of contrast, leading the audience through a bold and emotional experience. Their 1h10 performance joyfully brushes against the limits of reason — a journey blending tension, tenderness, and poetry.
