Record-breaking sunshine and guaranteed snow cover
At an altitude of 1,850m, La Rosière’s geographical location is truly exceptional.
Mountain holidays filled with sunshine
In both summer and winter, make the most of La Rosière’s south-facing position and unhindered views of the Tarentaise Valley. While the sun sets as early as 2pm in other resorts in the winter, La Rosière boasts more than 8 hours of sunlight every day. It is also privy to some breathtakingly beautiful sunsets!
Nestled between pine forests and mountain pastures, on a natural balcony that looks out over the Haute-Tarentaise Valley, the village resort of La Rosière is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
Optimum snow cover
La Rosière benefits from exceptional snow cover thanks to its geographical location near to Mont Blanc and just a few short kilometres from the Petit-Saint-Bernard mountain pass. This position guarantees the Espace San Bernardo an average of more than 5m of snowfall per year at 1,850m, and up to 10.5m some years! Furthermore, 118 snow cannons are set up at strategic points of the ski area to bolster the natural snowfall.
