Jul 20, 2017, Aug 3, 2017, Aug 24, 2017

A walk around the Petit St Bernard pass to learn about this important passageway, pastoral agriculture and the cattle that graze in the mountain pastures. Suitable for all the family.

This tour gives you an insight into the history of this transalpine pass, which is located at an altitude of 2,188 metres and exposed to harsh weather conditions (strong winds and heavy snowfall), an important passageway used for the last three thousand years.
Admire the ruins around the pass, which tell the story of the men who crossed it: the cromlech or Hannibal’s circle, the Roman road (which runs from Rome to Vienna), the foundations of the mansio (official stopping place on a Roman road), the Joux pillar, the Chanousia gardens (botanical gardens) and the hospice.
