Training centre for cycling

Chambéry Cyclisme Formation is a community organisation, a branch of the AG2R – La Mondiale professional cycling team’s training centre.

Its mission is to manage

• Around fifteen cyclists
• Aged between 19 and 23
• Who are aiming to be top-level athletes
• And are enrolled in a school or university course or have embarked on a professional career

Competing in the French first division (DN1 – No2 French club in 2015), Chambéry Cyclisme Formation’s members regularly compete on the Espoirs World Cup circuit (Class 2 U23). They also benefit from medical guidance that focuses on education and prevention, since protecting the cyclists’ health is a major and permanent concern.

The cyclists come to the group with their own personal project: a two-fold professional and sporting project which the training centre adapts and guides along. The alternative to cycling is key for providing a balance in their daily life.

Moral code
A sporting programme adapted to suit the cyclist’s age, anteriority and background. As a rule, rest is established as the primary medical therapy. The group’s medical education aims to make the rider self-sufficient and ensure they have the right reflexes. They also undergo regular psychological monitoring.

An innovative approach to training top-level athletes, providing an initial qualification that guarantees a rosy professional future. Privileged access to a professional cycling team as part of a group made up of young cyclists.
